Jericho Mountain State Park
298 Jericho Lake Rd
Berlin, New Hampshire

(603) 752-4758

Just a few miles northwest of downtown Berlin you will find one of the newest additions to the state park system. Jericho Mountain State Park provides opportunities for miles of trail riding for ATV, UTV, trail bike, and snowmobile enthusiasts alike. Open to the public, but still in development, the park will continue to have more miles added to the trail network over the next several years.

Throughout the park, visitors are treated to a number of scenic outlooks. Park guests can also enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, picnicking and boat rentals at Jericho Lake. Further development plans for the park include expansion of the ride-in/ride-out campground, several remote tent sites, group picnic pavilions, administrative
offices, and improved beach facilities. Home to the ever popular, Jericho ATV Festival.

Fees
Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free. Season passes are available. When park is unstaffed during the season, please use Iron Ranger (self-serve paystation).

Jericho Mountain State Park 4x4 Off Road Trail
New for 2016 is the first 4x4 Jeep/Truck trail, on public lands, in the Northeast. The trail is 2.5 miles long and is estimated to take 3.5-5 hours to complete. Vehicles enter through the main parking area at the Visitor Center on Jericho Lake Road. Cost is $20 per vehicle (up to 2 occupants) and $4 for each additional person. Vehicles are requierd to have a winch, modified tires and other modifications (list is available on NWOR website at http://www.nwor4x4.org )

The North Woods Off Road Club (NWOR) built the trail, with State approvals, and is performing the trail maintenance. Legislation has permitted the trail, on a trial basis, for this year. Drivers need to check in at the Visitor Center to get the gate opened. The gate will close at approximately 5pm during the summer, to allow vehicles to get out before the park closes at night.

Operating Schedule
Trails are closed for riding beginning on April 1st due to mud season.

Jericho Mountain State Park is open weekends only beginning May 2nd. The park opens full-time for the season on May 23rd and closes November 12th. Operating hours are 8am to 6pm daily. Park is closed from 8pm to 7am daily. *Operating dates and times are subject to change without notice. For up to date hours, please call the park directly.

Weekends Only 5/2
Full Time 5/23
Daily: 8am-6pm
Park Closes 11/12

This park is always open for recreation unless closed or restricted by posting. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed. The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationalists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.

Camping at Jericho Mountain State Park
The campground has 20 primitive campsites, including 5 cabins, 6 tent sites and 9 RV sites, and offers only water and portable toilets this season. The campground connects to the 75 miles of OHRV trails at the park, as well as connecting with the 1000 mile of trails in Coos County. The park also has a day-use area with a beach for swimming, pavilion and boat launch. Campsite fees will be $23/night, adirondack shelter is $29/night and cabin fees are $50/night. The campground is open for reservations from May 22nd through November 12th, 2015. It is open for walk-in camping beginning on May 8th, 2015. Reservations may be made online through ReserveAmerica or by calling ReserveAmerica at 1-877-647-2757.

It's a great Campground and the 2.5 miles was well worth the trip! They were hopeful that those trails would become permanent and future trails added.
