2000 xj sport. Got it for $800. Was told it might have a cracked head or a bad head gasket. Got it a water pump and thermostat for $60 and new rotors and pads for $95 and it is now on the road and running great. It will get 245's a nice stereo , good shocks and get the crap driven out of it. I now can do the 5 speed swap on my other jeep without worrying about getting to work the next day

Since the first post:
ZJ rear disc brakes
New engine (dam you 0331 head!)
-99 engine block, rebuilt top end
-02.5-04 WJ TUPY engine head (thanks Ken!)
Now runs mint, oil pressure 50ish at hot highway speeds, just under 40 at idle
New trac bar, wheel bearings, swap bar links, ball joints, bastard pack rear leaf (just extra xj main), sub/amp, rs/alarm, and more crap i can't think of.
Had to replaced the header and bumper when a kid pulled out in front of me and I smacked into the side of his car

Got a plow on it for the winter using a Curt front hitch mounted and welded to the unibody, works pretty good, need to put a small lift in due to plow so 1" v8 zj coils and a 1" spacer up front and 2" shackles in the rear. Needs some brake work but she gets the job done.

I might not have been around much but I have been doing alot of jeep work lol The free time i have had has mostly been going into getting the DD at a good running/safe point. It make become the trail jeep when the black jeeps unibody just ain't cutting it.

Nah i paid too much for it to help a friend out, frame got worse in the time it took for me to get it. Also sad news on the winch, it needs a rebuild, worked for 2 storms then died on me so I got a cheap habor freight in the mean time. I do like that winch though. I'm hoping to find a place that can rebuild it.

Those are indeed wj wheels, wheel adapters. I wanted to try and convert to 5 on 5 with wj bearing and brakes but I can't confirm if it will work.

Maybe if you swap the whole wj knuckle and bearings. Not sure. Is the zj setup the same as a xj?

You'd need a different lower ball joint, different steering, different rotors and calipers and a spacer welded in for different spacing that allows the u joint to turn correctly.
When it comes to armeggedon, i'll drive my jeep cherokee right outta that mess

Yes. JK lower ball joint has correct length and taper. ;)

Nice XJ. I think it deserves a steel front bumper for added protection and to support your winch.
