bump is right. and it's a little extra effort to get the shift rail fully out. you have to pull the intermediate shaft and gear, take a bolt out, then you can take the shift rail out.
although... you could drop all of that crap out the bottom of your case because the cover is on the bottom for you.
but twin sticking... maybe?? it would be a huge PITA. it'd be like doing a SYE with it mounted in the vehicle (though not quite that ridiculous). i'd say pull it and do it on a bench. you probably won't lose much time with the installation and removal processes.
